The math

How the numbers are worked out

The calculator uses the standard U-100 insulin-syringe relationship, where 1 unit = 0.01 mL:

Concentration (mg/mL) = peptide in vial ÷ water added.
Per unit = concentration × 10 (the mcg in each 0.01 mL unit).
Volume per dose (mL) = target dose ÷ concentration.
Draw (units) = volume × 100.
