The math

How the numbers are worked out

The calculator uses the standard U-100 insulin-syringe relationship, where 1 unit = 0.01 mL:

  • Concentration (mg/mL) = peptide in vial ÷ water added.
  • Per unit = concentration × 10 (the mcg in each 0.01 mL unit).
  • Volume per dose (mL) = target dose ÷ concentration.
  • Draw (units) = volume × 100.
  • Doses per vial = vial amount ÷ dose (rounded down).

It also highlights the nearest achievable syringe mark, the percentage off target, and warns when a draw is too small to measure or too big for the barrel — then recommends a better syringe.
