MGF biology is not an approved peptide product
Mechano growth factor (MGF) is a name used for an IGF-1 splice variant associated with tissue responses to mechanical loading. Products sold as “MGF peptide” are synthetic E-domain-related materials, not the same thing as the body's transient gene expression. No FDA-approved MGF peptide product, indication, or dose exists.
What the studies actually show
A small human biopsy study found exercise-associated changes in IGF-1 splice-variant expression in skeletal muscle.[1] Cell work reported different effects of an IGF-I Ec peptide and mature IGF-I on myoblast proliferation and differentiation.[2] These studies concern endogenous expression or laboratory cell systems; they do not establish that an injected commercial MGF fragment builds muscle, speeds recovery, heals injury, or improves performance.
Safety is not established
There is no regulator-reviewed adverse-reaction table, validated human exposure range, or long-term safety study for synthetic MGF products. Identity, sterility, impurities, immune reactions, and unintended growth-factor signaling remain unresolved. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved or premarket-verified for safety, effectiveness, or quality.[3]
MGF and PEG-MGF are different
Attaching polyethylene glycol creates PEG-MGF, a chemically modified product with additional characterization and immunogenicity questions. Evidence about natural muscle transcripts cannot be transferred to either synthetic MGF or PEG-MGF, and evidence about one commercial material cannot validate another.
Regulatory and sport status
MGF peptide is unapproved in the United States. Mechano growth factors are prohibited in tested sport under the current World Anti-Doping Agency list.[4] Teloryx does not publish an MGF dose, cycle, stack, or reconstitution recipe.
