How it works

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a protein found in gastric juice. Research attention centres on its apparent effect on angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — and on the up-regulation of growth-factor receptors that tissue relies on to repair itself.

In preclinical models it has been associated with faster healing of tendon, ligament and muscle, protection of the gut lining, and modulation of the nitric-oxide pathway that governs local blood flow. None of this is established in controlled human trials, and BPC-157 is not an approved drug in most jurisdictions — the protocol here is an educational reference, not a clinical recommendation.

  • Studied for connective-tissue repair (tendon, ligament, muscle) in animal models.
  • Associated with cytoprotection of the gastrointestinal tract in preclinical work.
  • Generally reported as well tolerated at the doses studied; occasional mild injection-site reactions.
  • Human efficacy and long-term safety are not established — treat all claims with caution.

Injection technique

  • Swab the vial stopper and the injection site with alcohol and let both dry.
  • Draw to your target unit mark on a U-100 insulin syringe; tap out air bubbles.
  • Pinch a fold of skin and insert at 45–90° into subcutaneous tissue (abdomen is common).
  • Inject slowly and steadily; no need to aspirate for a subcutaneous injection.
  • Rotate sites between injections to avoid local irritation, and use a fresh syringe each time.
